Hello Deano. As your well aware I love your Kat, totally outstanding, It's my favourite, I love that you've had it for so long. Has it been reliable with the huge turbo'd motor? have you ever had it dyno'd? I'm building a turbo one at the minute. Draw thru
I can't see clearly in the picture obut it looks like your running an external oil feed, Is it because of the heavy duty studs? or due to copper head gasket?

Yes the kat was very reliable,(touch wood now
), and extremely ridable,..... so much torque from the big cc's. It was dyno'd at 200.5bhp at the back wheel at a low 8psi boost. (this is ample for the road).
On the strip i used to crank the boost up to about 12-15psi,(i read 1psi can = 14bhp, but im not sure on this
) & with the wheel all the way back (JMC extendable drag arm back then), the front end used to come up at 130mph.. it was brutal... the bike needed lowering a lot more & a longer arm in... but it still ran a 9.3 @ 148mph. The thing is... my kat was a road bike first, & used on the strip secondary. I used to ride it to the strips, thrash it..then ride it home at the end of the day,.. it didnt come out of the back of a van all set up.
Yes it runs external oil feeds,.. the cylinder head studs are APE heavy duty ones, & i've blocked all the cylinder head oil feeds holes,(oil cant run back down to the studs from the cylinder head) & the top crankcase oil feeds too,( so it cant feed up the studs to the cylinderhead). The head gasket is a cometic 83mm bore copper item, & the liners have been 'piano wired' to aid sealing.
Hope this helps.. all the best Deanotek.

This was between Switzerland and Italy, 1135 Dave took the picture on the back of my 1100SZ Katana, did over 2000 miles in 11 days, hard work on the old girl but great.

everything can be for sale at the "right" price but as i have no need or reason to sell at this point it would have to be a very good offer...........
from memory i have 3x sets of side panels, tank, 2x seats, complete headlight/fairing/framework, rear light/tailpiece, clocks, lockset, etc, etc..........
it would require a LARGE bag of $$
