GSX1100 interchangeability........

Hello Folks, not been here for a while, life sort of got in the way for a while........ Anyway,I am just pulling down my 1170ET motor and have a couple of questions!
Do EFE base gaskets fit ET engines and also i seem to remeber that the EFE had shims behind the clutch basket in different thickness' to take out axial play on clutch basket, if that is right do they fit in an ET lump?

Other than that it all going well with no other issues yet....

Hello bud. I know the efe clutch basket is different bud.
I have a cometec base gasket in my garage. It says 1100 to 1166. So thats a good question. Cos et is normally 1074

Thanks for reply FBJ. I managed to get the info off of Arnout. It seems that the base gasket from an EFE is a direct replacement and better than the original paper gasket and also the clutch shim issue is easily resolvable by fitting EFE shim and bearing. As to your Cometic gasket, if my info is correct then that should also fit ET and EFE although the 'cc' stated dosen't seem to fall into either model.
