Thanks for adding the pics John!
Well the frame is back from the painters......which just happens to be 200 yards from my house in the same street!
I used to play rugby with the owner 20 odd years ago, but never considered using him to do paintwork for me!
Any way after have a bit of a craik with him and showing him the parts that need painting, he said he'd do them for me and at a very reasonable rate....mates rates!
Here is the newly painted frame.....I bought the paint off ebay and he painted it for me!
I think it looks Lush!
The Swinging arm has gone off to be chrome plated, I dont know how long or how much it's going to cost and how long its going to take to do......But I have done a lot of work to get it into the condition it is in now!
I'm glad you talked me out of using the Gixxer K2 swinging arm!
I have bought a Triumph speed triple rear shock off ebay to try and raised the back end of the bike up a little bit!
I'll have to wait to see if that works...................

What you going to do about a seat? Material spec etc. I love special frames bud. Thats so much nicer than the 30 yr old stuff that was on it.

Well I have the Gixxer race seat, and a seat pad that I got off mr Grumpy............just had to narrow it by 40mm at the front and then glass fibre the underside as it was a bit too flimsy fo my fat arse.
Also driiled 2 holes in the back for the twin rear lights which sort of mirror the front of the bike, with its twin headlights! Havent worked out how its going to be attached to the frame yet.............I will cross that bridge when it comes back from the painters ! But petty sure I will have to drill some more holes in it!
This is what you get when under pressure and with deadlines to meet ..................

Just got the martin arm back from the chrome platers and it looks lush! Also picked a set of front Billet 6 calipers up from a good mate off here!
Sweet-a-bix!
The tank and body work nearly finished, although the painter has'nt fully understood what I wanted, it still looks really nice!
pics to follow..............................

here you go! Love the chrome plated swinging arm!
Not sure about the stripes on the tank though, I wanted a gap between the light blue and the dark blue strip...........
And the stripe is too wide on the front fender...............maybe it'll grow on me?
