My EFE make over.
Re: My EFE make over.
Bloody 'ell. Common sense? Me?
Ive suddenly realised that I actually enjoy having a bike that handles relatively well, with the ZZR11. This has had me thinking about the EFE?
Im seriously thinking about junking the long swingarm, short forks ideas, and fitting longer forks and a short swingarm, with suspension!!!!!
To make the bike rideable.
If I did have my sensible head on,the forks etc from the front of the donor GSXR11 could be fitted, and at a push, the JMC arm, rear wheel etc from the donor too. It would make a great wheely bike!
Its a pity the frame has been freshly powdercoated. Pass me the grinder and the MIG set please, changes are ahead.

Ive got one of these that might look nice fitted in the rear. A steelheart double tubed and braced one off arm for a gsxr wn.

Turbo kit removed from the bay of E.
What was I thinking?
Im sure a turbo'd suzuki will be a thing of lust eventually, even if it has an oil cooled motor in it.
(Ive number 2 EFE waiting in the wings with a 1260 efe motor).

A funny old thing has happened from the ad for the turbo kit from egay,an interested party has been chatting with me from the message section there,so I suggested he should come and check things out here,as he's a turbo fan.
One of the things Id mentioned was if your making stainless pipes, you need one of these KLS discs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2xWTVult6s
Ive mentioned elsewhere, but these are the best thing Ive bought in the last year for the workshop.
These arent to be confused with flapwheel type grinder things.
With these, you can go side to side,up and down, and you dont destroy the tube work your working on.
The only way to see how good they are is to buy one!
I was having a complete ball ache trying to grind welds from stainless pipes after welding,I tried hose clamps either side of the welds to shield them from the grinder, but never got the finish I wanted. The KLS things work!
So Mr chippzz, check out the link, get one bought!
