turbo
I recently as mentioned elsewhere bought myself a lovely draw thru turbo kit from the main turbo man FBM Dave Dunlop.
Yesterday i decided Id make a start on the build, and dragged my GSXR out of hiding, with the intention of getting it up and running and using for the summer. Once the summer was over, pulling the bike to bits and using the engine with turbo in a spare EFE frame.

I was going to pull the JMC arm out and fit the lengthened one.

Luckily in one way I decided not to swop the swingarms first, and decided to fit the turbo instead.
When Dave has made the kit up (the plenum),he's made it Id say for an oil cooled motor in an air cooled frame. The banana pipe wants to exit mid way thru the side of the frame upright.
So,the gsxr isnt getting turbo'd.
Dave has offered kindly to swop the plenum over for a shorter one, which Ive declined,as Im pulling the engine out and fitting into an engineless EFE.
Im just glad I hadnt started on paint, frame powdercoating etc etc on the assumption it would go together. Plus on a personel note,Im not that struck on GSXR's. Id sooner have a steel framed Suzuki between my legs!
The next time I'll drop a complete bike off at Dave's,wave some cash under his nose and ask him to turbo it!
