KATANA STEM INTO BANDIT BOTTOM YOKE.

Being under the impression that the Katana steering stem would fit straight into the Bandit 1200 bottom yoke, I pressed both the stems out of the Bandit 1200 & Kat750s2.
Now I don't know if the Kat750s2 is a different stem to the Kat1100, (Wouldn't think so), but the fit was very loose in the Bandit bottom yoke, & not at all tight. So no good in this case.
So looking at the job in hand, back in went the Bandit 1200 stem into the Bandit bottom yoke.
After a bit of thought & eyeballing the stem up, I noticed that theres a lot of bearing face, where you drive the bottom taper roller bearing on.
So what I did was knock a stainless spacer up, 55mm wide, 18mm thick with a 30mm hole bored through it. I fitted this on the stem till it fitted all the way down touching the bottom yoke, then drove the taper roller down to this.
Its now spot on, no problem. No need to modify the top yoke for the Kat stem, & no pressing out of stems, or left with an unusable Kat bottom yoke with no stem.. etc.. RESULT!!
This could be an easier route to take, instead of all the messing about.
