Carb question

Hi, when looking underneath the card there is what I think is the pilot jet adjustment screw, any idea what these whould be set to.

All, sorry I meant looking underneath the carb, bit dificult to take a picture as they are on the bike now but if you have the same non-cv carbs I presume they are all the same.

Also should have mentioned it's a GS1000EC

Aint had a Gs for donkeys. My moneys on air mixture screws. Someone will confirm shortely. I normally gently screw min all the way. Dont force them, then unscrew the 2.25 turns i think thats what the manual says from memory

If it's this screw, it's an air screw I think, it's 0.8 turns out on a GS1000S, but I think it's 1.5 turns out for a normal GS1000 ;)

Stevie, much apprciated did set mine to 7/8 turn out and starts ok although the pick it a bit sluggish - just awaiting some vaccum gauges and will try your recommendtion as well.

Yes, standard airbox with Motad 4-1 althouh I am looking to change to Harris or V&H.

It shouldn't really be sluggish if all you've done is adjust the screws, have you had the carbs off for any reason, cleaning etc?

Also it might be worth doing a compression check on each cylinder, for reference.

Hi, had the carbs aprt to clean, did a cold compression test as no exhaust on bike and all 145-150psi.
