What's the best chain and sprockets - 78 GS1000EC
Hi,
Im looking for some advice for my GS1000EC
I want to replace the existing (not sure of the make) chain and sprockets on my 1978 GS1000EC (17inch back wheel), Im not sure what the standard sprocket teeth count is either. Ive been told that DID do a chain but its not an X ring or one of the better types that last longer, can anyone recommend a make and model of chain and sprockets that would be best for my bike and what the tooth count should be for a standard sprocket set please
Thanks again

I have a Oring 630 DID chain fitted to my Gs1085s,having bought a cheap eco chain in yrs gone by it snapped on the way to work
ops.....
Gs run 15 front, 42 back mine is currently 16/42 which is to high for two up riding,so next time it will be 15/41.....
I also run a 17ins Gs1000e back wheel not a 18inch as a stock S model should have...........
