hey-where have i been hiding? in the shed -as usual- :D of course-aircooledwonderland where else

well after racing at BONNEVILLE SPEEDWEEK back in 2009 it was very disappointing to see no aircooled suzuki or kawasaki brontobikes-plenty of lovely mental harleys and some very random euro makes, but in gereral

it was awash with revolting [but efficient] watercooled flouncybikes-some were very well thought out and some were well engineered some were just stupid amounts of money -but ALL WERE FAST-

fast is good-fast and power is what bonneville is all about-the great white dyno-SO myself and dave friend decided there and then it was about time things were set right-

we drank some 16 year old bushmills IRISH whiskey, and sat in the camper van till very late at night discussing parts-as we all know its a pleasure-

we decided to build a proper racing motorcycle to try and go faster than anyone had gone on a proper multi cylindered aircooled motorcycle at BSW before-

we didn,t make it- i managed 164.429MPH -all motor, which is TBH streetbike speeds- the best anyone went before at BSW on a similar bike was 174 MPH-

BUT- it was a load of fun,an adventure in a land with with no compare-[the salt flats have to be experienced to 'get it'

sure we could have bought a busa-bolted on a few proven parts and joined the 200mph club-just like all the fat kids-and for less money than our cylinderhead-but it was important for us to build a bike that looked like the bikes we grew up with-the bikes we lusted after as kids and thrashed mercilessly as teens-A BIKE WITH A FUKKIN WIDE ENGINE AND GERT BIG FINS-full of trick oil and oozing torque and horsepowers-naturally it was a suzuki-

FBJ- i will get the guys from PENDINE LANDSPEED RACING CLUB-to join on here and spill-

YES there is to be a PRE 1990,s landspeed racing event here on these isles that dont involve paying £100,s of pounds to run down an airstrip [which are very short]

or having the logistical nitemare of shipping bikes through US CUSTOMS-and that associated nitemare-
