B6 and 12 front ends are totally different.
B6 are 41mm(iirc),sliding 2 pot calipers,3"curved spoke wheel,298mm discs and 17mm spindle.

B12 are 43mm forks,nissin 4 pots,310mm discs,3.5" straight spoke wheel and 20mm spindle.

The bearings(same as the efe/slabby/slingshot,Kat,gsxf,gs,etc) are the same, but stems are a different length

You can do the front end swap a couple of ways.
Either get your Kat stem pressed into the b12 bottom yoke or use the stem from a slabby/slingshot or teapot.
The other way is to use gsxr750j/k or 1100k 43mm rwu yokes, the b12 forks will drop straight these yokes and it is a straight bolt into your Kat(you may need to mod the stops).
You'll need to space the calipers out with a 1-2mm washer,as the offset is slightly different.

Another way is to look at an rf900 front end, these are the same as a b12 but with more adjustment, they also seem to be cheaper than b12/gsxr front ends

The above is from Derek Wills. Thanks Derek.
