Hi Mates,

After 14 months of trials and tribulations my new race motor is up and running. In addition to replacing the damaged parts, I made changes to the cam timing, increased the cylinder port size, installed gapless and napier style piston rings, GSXR rocker arms, and created a total loss electricalsystem. The engine sounds awesome even at its 2200 RPM idle.

Next step is test & tune, then it is off to the races at the end of January.

Cheers,
SSR

Well I fired up the engine sounded real strong at tick over, decided to take it up the street, started to run on 3 cylinders. I noticed that some oil was coming out of the #1 exhaust port. I have a feeling that my new trick piston rings might ber broken. :(

Off to do a compression test, more that likely it appears that I will be doing a disassembly in the next 48 hours. First time ever with my EFE that something like this happen. I will list the exact problem when I find out.

Cheers,
SSR
