Katana GSX1100 SD 1983 bits needed
Hi, for those of you who are on KOC, you will already have seen my fairly long list of Kat bits I need to sort the wreck of an 1100 SD Kat I am trying to get together. For those who have not here goes:
Full Kat bodywork
Seat
Front 6 spoke wheel
Petrol tank
gearshift side front footpeg
Ignition cover
Clocks
fairing brackets
exhaust system - why?
Am also considering doing it modified if more bits turn up in that direction so WHY?
cheers
Chris

Chris. The rare parts are the tank, tail piece and seat. My advise if you see them buy them. I have a percect set of screen brackets on ebay. They fetch good money cost me £40 so thats what I need. I have another pair that aint so nice. Looks like one has had a repair. May get you out of trouble. £20 posted if ur interested.

Thanks John, will hang on and see what is around. I am even considering getting a 750 and transferring the bits over as there has been a couple of reasonably priced ones around recently. I missed a couple of tanks a couple of weeks ago as I still had not picked up the one that came with the project. I have since collected it and it is fit for nothing!

OK, have now got some bodywork from Stafford of the plastic replica variety, a headlight on the way, a front wheel supposed to be on the way, bought on ebay but had no comms after 10 days!!, petrol tank hopefully being repaired and just got an exhaust system that is off the wrong bike! So still need the following:
Urgent: LH Front footpeg assembly, exhaust system preferably harris works collection or similar, seat, seat plastics and brackets, front mudguard, points cover
Not as urgent but still needed: clocks, fairing brackets, clip on handlebars, throttle side switch gear, front master cylinder, choke switch assembly
any bits hiding in your garages??
cheers

Bought a full standard exhaust system last week as was told it would fit my Kat....should have known better, but you live and learn. I think it is a GSX1100 E system or GS1100E in chrome. Will put an ad on here at some point.
In the meantime, second hand headlight sourced on ebay, new battery arrived. Missed out on a fairing bracket as there were a few bidding for it on ebay.
Now bidding on a Laser exhaust on ebay, so heres hoping!
Just need to get it running for a daytime MOT for now.
