7/14 katana project .....
Re: 7/14 katana project .....
Bunged a load of parts back on the project bike yesterday to clear some stuff off the floor and make a bit of work space.

Did a bit of cutting to get the sprocket cover to fit and fitted the l/h footpeg and gear lever set up.

Are you planning on putting it on the road this year?

Got some more done today, started on the bracing side of things now that the swingarm is properly in place. Got rid of the spindly little flay plate mount stuff and replace with matching diameter tube to the frame.
Front one first:

Then the rear one to match the shape of the existing one:

Cleaned and tacked into place:

Then bolted it all back together

They look nice and tight. The ends look good. Did you use that website where u ca print your requirements on a bit of paper. Then wrap it around the tube

Had to have a bit of a change of plan on the shocks, the ZRX ones are too long and causing issues with chain clearance so they've come out and will be replaced in due course

Fitted the inner sprocket cover/ clutch master cylinder also fitted the stock GSX1400 coils into the stock Katana location and have come out quite neat

Loosely fitted all wiring aswell to check engine turns and sparks

Not quite mate, still got a lot to do but going to push to have it ready for fighter fest in september
Test fitted front of loom to make sure all fits under tank

Made up one oil line (need another 90 degree fitting for the second)

Had an issue with cam sensor hitting tank so have cut out where necessary and made a template to check enough removed for clearance before getting tank welded up and checked
