Holes straight through mate, yoke locates around 3/4 of the way through stem just want to add a stepped spacer or stepped bolt to make sure the top yoke stays located and locked down
Thinking of shortening the seat on the Kat project too, not going to be any pillions on this and personally think the rear of the kat seat looks too long in stock form, had a bit of a play with some photo jiggery and here's a before and after shot??

Was wondering if you did the doubler plate thing on the outside of the frame were the chain cut outs are, and how it turned out?
What thickness plate did you use?
Thinking about doing the same to mine.
Cheers, Brian.

Following this build with interest its going to be a belter.
Have you checked the full travel of the chain, when l did mine I was surprised how big the chain cutouts had to be, better to big than too small, keep up the good work.

Kat seats look much better, with a bit taken out of the rear passenger seating area. They should have made em like that, when the bike was designed,... my view anyway,... but its suprising how many people cut their Kat seats down in this area. Nice

Put all the bodywork back on today to make sure I didn'y cut too much from the seat and make it look over balanced!

Also started positioning footrests today
