Re: kiwi to the 8's
Woke this morning after night shift not only to a outside temp of 35 deg C but my shift light had arrived

Got a wired up to night , but not able to start bike as it was way to late so first thing in the morning

Mounted on the rear mud guard

Shift light right in the line of sight so no missing that

wiring all done

Temp in the shade of my shed 33c, on the ashfelt drive 50c and to think in Australia they have temps in mid 40's
So tonight ring the chap organising the meeting in Nelson to check details on entering and getting the bike pre raced checked only to be told that the EFE WONT be able to race in the DYO class as it does not meet there rules - needs to current WOF ( streel legal lights etc ) and there is no way that I could rewire it too night , asked about running in comp bike but as its a national meeting bike needs a tech inspected prior to the meeting (they wont do it on the day even though the right people are going to be at the track
) so going to ride up on my Bandit 12 and race that instead

OH that crsssed my mind beleave me but would still need to have working lights , brake light , indicaters and just did not have time to get all that done and be garranteed an entry , not going to risk travelling 450km to be told I can run , taking the B12 I know solves that problem , plus I missed reading a subsection of the rules ( as confusing the layout of their rule book is .....................

Power feels to be running out at 8500 so at that point i think , will play around with it at the next meeting in Christchurch on the 17th Feb

Best to get the bike set up on a dyno,.. find out at what RPM its hitting peak power at,.. then use that knowledge to set up your shift light..
All the best Deanotek.

Back from a very succesful days racing in Nelson , got in to the semi finals again only to be beaten by 0.005 of a seconds , but the most pleasing part of the weekend was my reaction times where all between 0.02 to 0.07 of a second , so the human part of this project is well and truely on track.
Finished off fitting dataloger and now getting my head around the setting of it up , can run the shift light at different revs for each gear (and a whole rain bow of colour selection for the LED light - very cool ) , have the ability to set a launch rpm light , can fit a o2 sensor for the exhust , plus 2 other 0-5 volt analog imputs, and then theres the throttle postion sensor and vehicle speed sensor as well but will wire those in at a later date. The graphs are prity basic - can on graph 2 inputs at once but for a couple of hundard dollars it will do all i need, not in the same leuge as a Race pack logger or some of the industial PLC's I've worked with in the past but good valve for money so far

Rest of the air shifter parts ordered tonight , not likely to arrive here until after the next race meeting on the 17th Feb but thats a good thing as I still have to make the air tank and mount the ram that will do the shifting

14 tooth front sprocket fitted , data logger all set up , clutch adjusted so as it comes in at about 1/3 travel not at 3/4 as before , megaphone fitted to V & H exhaust
Had a little play in the drive way to check tyre pressures 20 PSI a bit soft as you can see from the photo - the 2 out side black lines show that the center of the tyre is curving up , 25 PSI will fix that problem
