Incase any of you are interested this is what I have had done to the motor:
Crank stripped, bearing checked, balanced, welded and straight cuts fitted.
Gearbox, stripped & inspected, 5th gear & the output shaft were both replaced (thanks for parts Monty)
New HD cam chain fitted.
Hi flow oil pump gears fitted.
straight cuts fitted to clutch basket.
Very low mileage stock efe pistons fitted with a cometec base gasket, these are 20" rather than the stock base gasket which is 10", this lowers the comp a little.
Heavy duty studs and nuts used.
Valves removed, seats recut, quick clean up refitted with new OEM valvestem seals.
Will also be fitting a lock up clutch.

Hey looking good FBJ, see you got the motor back from Roger.
When you get the time any chance you could post a pic up of what the rear subframe support tubes look like with the tail piece on?
The pic with the bodywork fitted on the last page is taken from too high to see that, thanks !!!

Hey cheers FBJ, look good don't they, quite subtle, wasn't sure how much of them you would see below the tail piece line as we didn't check that out at the time.
Yes GSXR11 for the TT, although put a little bit of money into to make it better, got a lovely Penske triple clicker orignally for a GSXR1000 k5 but has the right spring for my weight in a Slingy, should sort out the handling as the original rear shock was on it's last legs...
Just haven't had the time to get the 711 done, I want to enjoy building it & not run round stressed out about hitting a deadline.
