Apparently you can use the straight cut gears off a gs750,.. but i think you have to alter your sprockets/final drive gearing, as it makes a big difference... a lot of people do go down this route though.
If you are aiming for 250bhp on a more or less standard lump.. it will pay the price..ie, BOOM!!! at some point. The gsx1100 lumps are immensly strong motors, but at this stress/power, something will let go, if you dont have the correct bits in the motor,..listen for the death rattle!!.. ha ha .. DETONATION
... this is the big killer in turbo motors when done on the cheap.
Buy Joe Haille's book ..turbocharging,supercharging & nitrous oxide for motorcycles (cant remember if this is exactly the correct name of the book).. brilliant book, but not written too technical, so you can understand what he's saying,...it will give you most answers for your turboing questions.
All the best Deanotek.

You can do but as you point out will need to change your final drive gear ratios...
Its normaly a mod used by the Comp Bike or Pro stock guys.as it alters the clutch basket speed...
but you will also need to grind the cases to clear the larger clutch gear..
I,d stick to a set of S/C gears of rupperton....

Yep... thats the route i take too..
But you can understand why some do it to save money, if u get a cheap/scrap GS750 bottom end, you can use the oil pump gears too, to uprate the GSX1100 oil pump.

Here is a first pic of the rolling chassis.
Had enough time this weekend, so I polished the engine cases an the swingarm.

Had a little bit time today.
Oil pump gears from gsx 750 for higher oil flow.
Oil pan extension, gives about 500ml more oil.
